Steering Column/BodyDrop ????

I've got a '94 Ranger bodydropped 4 1/2" and now the steering column is binding up at the joint by the gearbox. What is the easiest way to get it out of a bind?

Also, I plan to put in a tilt column from another Ranger, which has 2 u-joints instead of one.
