DYNAMAT on shaved doors? :?:

I am in the process of shaving my 4 door handles and door moldings, after the final priming and undercoating of the backside of the welds and glues, would it be O.K. to use Dynamat as a dampener or something to decrease the amout of rattle or flex that the handles get? Ive never heard of anyone doing this, would it help me out!
