Question about airbags and racing

Ok. I am thinking about installing airbags on my Grand Am because I am putting a kit on it and I like up in the mountains, and if its to low I will scrape everywhere. I want to know how airbags perform in terms of being ridged. In my mind I would think they wouldnt be ridged, since they aren't staying down, they are merely relasing air and sitting. Hopefully that makes sense. Anyway. If I want my car to have a really tight suspension so I can run on the track and yet be able to lift it 3-5 inches with the flick of a switch, am I screwed? kinda cant have the best of both worlds thing? or is it possible to keep a tight suspension while using bags.
