Listen to what ahppened to me!!

Alright I was puttin in my freshly rbuilt engine and me not be smart at all i left the battery in, well when i dipped my engone and tranny in my oil pan grounded out on my positive and negative on my battery, it sparked made a weird noise and would never turn the crank again. Arc welded the rings to the block....F******** B****** now what you think is wrong?
