Ok, my bro. last November 04' gets laid off from the resturaunt where he was working. They tell him to collect unemployment. So he does. Well he moves to a better loccation (275 south of were he was). Its December 27, 2004, he's living downstate, and this employer calls him and offers him 2 days of work (banquets for new years). He declines it for the simple fact he lives somewhere else now, AND it is only two days of work. Two weeks ago he gets a letter from the state saying that this resturaunt offered him work and he declined it. And he has to pleed his case...So he does and he tells him exactly what happend. Well they turn all this on him, with no reason, and tell him, he has to pay back all the unemployment he has recieved...($3100.00). What should he do. Is there anything he can do? Have any of you been in this situation. This company is lying and the state is taking their word for it. Not my brothers.
