sway bar when baggin

just wondering what to do with the sway bar. Im puttin the bags in now and looks like the bag will rub where the sway bar mounts to the lower A arm. In most pics ive seen, they just cut the sway bar mount off completely. Does this affect the steering or anything? any help would be appreciated... peace.
