Ive had my truck bagged for maybe 3 months now and ive already locked up 2 of them. The first one was ordered thru Airlift as a whole kit with the brackets, water seperator, pressure release valve, and it locked up after a month of use.I was told that it wasnt under warranty because it was purchased more than 90 days before it locked up and only the electric clutch was under the 1 year warranty, which i thought was shitty. Then i went up to O'reillys and purchased a remanufactured York 210 which worked fine for about a month and a half or so thewn last week i noticed i had a leak somewhere because i was losing 200 psi in a period of like 4 or 5 hours.Wehn i was checking for leaks i noticed it was coming from the compressor right where the fitting was bolted to the discharge flange,so i thought maybe it was just loose or something.I tightened it up but it was still leaking.I sprayed some soapy water and noticed it was like coming from where the top part of the compressor bolts to the bottom half, so i figured maybe a bad gaket or O ring so i replaced the gasket and top O rings and it STILL leaked. Then on my way to a car show today i smelled something burning and it was the compresssor, which at the time was working somewhat,it never seemed to be able to build back up to 200 PSI but it was still barely working. On the way home after leaving it locked up completely.I ran a check valve right in front of the compressor to maybe keep some of the pressure off the compressor after it started leaking, but it didnt seem to solve much of anything.Once it started leaking it never seemed to perform the same after that;it would still reach up to 200 pounds at first just took a lot longer to build up then today it couldnt ever even hit 200.I have heard from people on here that this compressor has no problem performing at 200 PSI but i have already wrecked 2 york compressors, i just dont know if i should have put the check valve on earlier before it started leaking or if its just not safe to run this compressor above 150 or what, all i know is im tired of buying comressors already after only 3 months. Anything i should do differently before i purchase another one?
