Weird clicking sound.

I got my weld raceing wheels put on the other day and today i notcied they rub when I turn my wheel all the way and its no big deal its just cause there wider than stock and shit...Well today I was tryning to do a u turn and I turned them all the way and they rubed cause I forgot about them doing it so I let off a bit and went on with the turn and after I straighten out I herd a clicking sound and it went on for 5 miles...I got out and checked and didnt see anything odd. And I pulled in my drive way and got out and went inside and then came back out and drove away and it didnt do it anymore? My question is what was clicking or what caused it..
