ok, my compressor has taken a crap on me 3 times now. although each time Oasis has been great and fixed it and had it back to me in no longer than 10 days ( their customer service kicks some serious ass!) they seem to think its a low voltage problem, so to solve that problem i got an alternator built, 195 amps, i have 0 guage cable (15')going to my second battery which is a yellow top optima mounted 3 feet from the compressor. i had the entire system tested under load and it was a constant 12.4 volts so i couldnt see how the power draw was affecting it.from what i have heard, the yellow top optimas arent the best batteries to use under big loads like this. anyone have a better idea than the optima? i was thinking 2 6v golf cart batteries ran in series since golf carts are under a huge load with no alternator to keep them charged... i dont know.. any ideas would be great though.
on the other hand, when the compressor is working, it kicks ass. i have 26 gallons and it filled them from 0-170 psi in about 10 min
