built not bought??? what about bought and rebuilt?

i recently bought a 2002 tacoma that is already bagged and shaved. the truvk belonged to someone that was in vivid reality. i got it for dirt cheap. my last truck was a 96 tacoma and i put 3 years of work into it. shaved and all kinds of stuff. the 02 is ok work but some things have to be redone. and the truck needs to be finished. should i feel like i am taking credit for someone elses work. cause i am gonna change it completly.
