my friend and I are looking at bodydropping my '88.this is a hacked truck and practicality isnt an issue, so we're looking at a fairly big slam. but, if i were to say body drop it like 4 or 4 1/2" inches, but wanted it to lay frame as well, what issues come up around cutting the bottom of the rockers off and capping them? im talking within an inch or so of the door, also, what material is generally used for a filler plate in the door jamb? what kind of problems arise in regards to steering/hood clearances/ heater/ gas pedal/clutch/brake pedal clearances, where do i cut on the firewall-tranny tunnel? you may say, if you have to ask this many questions you shouldn't be doing it but this is our guinea pig truck that it doesn't matter if we screw up because we are only trying to learn on it. and if im BD'd that much will i run into problems not being able to untuck my wheel enough to drive? I'll be using 2500's and running 16's at the biggest. my concerns on capping the rocker are only because of that pinch mold on the bottom of the cab, is it there for any major structural reason?
