what not to do...bodydrop

i bodydropped my tacoma and realized that i messed up pretty bad. To start off I drilled the spot welds that hold together the fenderwells on...now the firewall is falling apart because i drilled out too many. Also I had to ghetto rig them back up with bolts and its flimsy when putting the fenders back on. Its really messy and i feel like an idiot for doing that.

Question...when you did your b/d did you have to do that, or did you leave it attatched and lower the cab and front core supports all at the same time?Also, anyone make the same mistake i did or have any suggestions on repairing the firewall and strengthening where the fenders bolt onto?
