Okay, I have an `01 cavalier. I plan on puting in an air ride on bags in the rear. I was just going to use cans in the rear and just bolt them up to the stock location. but then I think, you know. I would like to do some nice tube steel work in the truck that exposes the bags and all. just like on the trucks where they remove the area between the frame to expose all the metal work.
This is my first welding project so I am "very inexperienced. my question is, I got a welder at one of those tractor trailer liquidation sales for 50 dollars. online i found that the welder origangyl goes for like 75. it says it will weld up to 1/8 steel. Will this be good enough to weld some of the tubular steel piping. and still hold the car up? if not should i get another welder or just pay someone else to weld it in to the car? Oh, its an arc welder if that helps. I have already designed the rear the way I want it to look. its going to look like two angry eyes looking out when you open the trunk. I hope to hear back soon. Let me know guys....
