Can you do this?

We are starting to shave the doors on my S10 this weekend and my buddy brought up leaving just the key lock on and shaving the handles so when you unlock it the door popper opens the door.... Is this possible and what do you guys think it would look like with no handle just the key lock? ugly or cool?
