Just to set some background on myself, I've been airbrushing and auto painting for about 14 years, just won second place in Auto Graphics magazine competition and have had many rides published and won many 'Best paint' awards.
I recently purchased a product called automask from COAST AIRBRUSH. It's described as "a masking film...designed to be used w/ automotive paints" in their catalog. After taping for many hours and spraying flames with HOK on a recent job, I removed this product only to find that the paint had penetrated the material and was left ALL OVER my paintjob. Basically ruined!
Upon contacting COAST AIRBRUSH I was told that "they use it all the time and have NEVER had of this problem." Sorry if this sounds bitter, but I think 60 or more hours of work lost deserves more consideration than that. Anyone else used this product and had a similar result? MY experience with this product was a bad one but what's worse was a companies' indifference to the customer and ablility to offer a solution. L8R, Sean Burnley
