One year ago today, our family lost one of the greatest people in my life. George E. Bryan, II died of an unexpected and sudden heart attaack on June 29, 2003 at the young age of 53. He left behind his 4 children: Brady, 30, Joann, 25, Amelia, 22, Maggie, 15, and his wife of 26 years, Leanne.

Today I celebrate his legacy. Not only was he voted one of the top neurologists of the country for the past 10 years, but he was a successful officer in the Army, retiring in 1986 as a Lt. Colonel to pursue his dream of helping those in need. He always took more time than necessary with each patient, making sure that they felt like they were the only one in his world, ensuring that he was always late and running behind He had a love for anything automotive, had a horrible sick twisted sense of humor, and was the most admired person in my life.

His death impacted this community, with over 3000 people attending his funeral. He will surely be missed by everyone his life touched, and his legacy will live on in his family and friends.

My friend, the father of my sisters, the husband of my mother, the crutch of the community, and above all, my father. I love you!!

George E. Bryan, II 1949-2003
