Well my buddy bought Dennis's old truck off him last year, but everything about the suspension was beat and a hack job. It was like they found scrap angle iron laying around (i say this because parts of it were powdercoated yellow), and just welded it to the frame and slapped 2500 bags under it. It got like 3" of lift and the back of the frame started sagging because of the hacked c-notch. The front wasnt any better.
Either way, he dropped it off to me and my little thing called Afterhours Fabrication to do something more deserving of a feature truck. I got together with Larry from Innovative to design a rocker arm thatll allow at least 10-11" of lift, and threw some dual action cylinders in there for good measure. Heres what I came up with:
Its not done yet, I still have to make new panels to fit inside the bed, cut more of the bed out, do some more wiring, maybe change some colors of the parts, install an engine driven compressor, finish the body work..ect ect..I just had to get it back together so he could make a show last week, so Ill update pics as I work on it..
Also if you want to see the lift it gets along with some dogleggin action, watch these videos..still gotta tweak it so it can suck the wheel all the way up, but this works for now..
