I am about to paint my first truck. I am doing the body work right now and am about to go buy supplies to paint with. I have a few more things to do before i start such as welding in new rockers and cab corners but other than that it is just straightforward bodywork. I am looking for compressors right now since my dad froze our engine on ours up. What is adequate for painting. At harbor freight (are these decent?) I am looking at two different compressors. One is 2HP, 8 Gallon tank 4.2 cfm @90 psi for $169 and the other is 2 HP 5 gallon with 3.8 cfm @90 psi 4.5
cfm@70psi and
5cfm@40psi for $90 on sale. Are either of these adequate for painting? Also I will be using them for air tools such as angle grinder, cut off wheel, air shears, air impact wrench, etc. Would you reccomend either over the other? Thanks for your input and sorry about the long post.
