Chevy Lift

What goes into lifting a '72-'87 chevy 3/4 ton. I've found some 6 inch suspenion lifts and 3 inch body lifts, but what if you want to go higher? I've found some blocks, but it says they can only be used for the rear. How do you level out the front.
