HOK Ice Pearls

To those of you who have used or seen any of the HOK ice pearls, what are your thoughts and opinions. I've heard the stuff is really cool looking, but from looking at sample cards, it basically just looks like a heavy flake. Also, the samples are only sprayed over a black base.

I will be painting my car shortly with HOK Orion Silver and i am looking for something to do ghost flames with. I've tried several different pearls and none of them seem to give the right affect like they would over a solid base. The ice pearl was suggested, but it is a bit pricey to buy if it isn't going to work.

Also, if anyone has pictures that show the ice pearl good, please post them.
