painting pearls

i painting my truck orange with gold pearl in the clear. the problem is i've never painted with pearls before and when i do a flat surface like the hood i get lines in itwhere it lookes like the pearl is darker.I keep shaking my gun to make sure it cant settle to the bottom. so i dont know wtf.any help would be great.
