Just got done installing the custom 4 link on Hooch. Built from scratch to replace the crap-ass two link that I fondly dubbed "Poor execution of a bad idea".
I don't see how two-linkers do it. The pinion angle was screwed except at 80 psi, and who wants to ride at 80 psi? Laid out the arc of operation pushed the driveshaft through the carrier bearing and ruined the tranny output seal... And the axle moved forward about 3 inches...
So I cut the whole mess off. Stock flooring it anyway... Just got done installing and did some measuring for everyone. In 16+ inches of rear articulation, the pinion angle changed 0 degrees. The carrier bearing moved fore-aft 0 inches. The axle moved side to side 0 inches. Noticing a trend here?
I have a foot of lift with the leverage set up, and it is gorgeous to see the pinion stay 2 degrees down no matter how high or low the truck goes.
