is my friend getting BS'd?

a friend of mine has an Infinity Q45 on bags, pretty sweet ride, and he just brought it to a new shop cause his old one was giving him all kinds of shit and his bags were leaking like crazy, and they dont make the bags he has anymore, so the guy told him they were gonna gut his old airbags and put in new single bevel bags because they're just better overall than double bevel bags and have a better ride. does this sound like BS to anyone else I have double bevel bags and they ride great...is the shop just trying to squeeze some more money out of my friend?
