Body droppin' it

A friend and I are planning on body dropping his '94 chevy fullsize x-cab in the near future. We are planning on droping it to the door. Can this be done by just stock flooring it, or will the floor have to be raised up as weel? I've been looking for some good photos of the process but can't seem to find any. Any feed-back would be nice.
