ok so im finally getting started on my 85. i recently got a deal on some belltech's and am in process of installing them. while im there im also going to flip the ball joints to the top. now, from what i understand, this combination should get me about a 2 3/4" inch drop in the front? the rear im going to lower with some temporary block but will be linking it and doing bags later.

i still need to be able to use my trucks "truck use" capability so ill likely just do a low profile notch to where it still clears the bed. im working on a deal on some 17's at the moment but am likely gonna run the stock 14" on 185's for now.

here's what she looked like when i first got it. only thing thats changed is the shell got shoved off and the rear bumper was taken off. im planning to keep it looking (body wise) as stock as possible. i like how they look with the chrome grilles so im getting an 87 grille and a chrome bumper for it next week. ill also be installing a chrome rear bumper. im currently looking for all the clear lenses so thats also in the works. for now, here's how she started.

well, after ALOT of lag time working on my little street brawler... i finally got some new shoes to flash it up some.

wheels are off a chrystler conquest / mitsubishi starion.... 16x8 fronts on 225/50's. 16x9 rears on 245/50's. and yes... they currently all rub here and there.... especially the rears though that'l be fixed tomorrow.

thanks. i just picked up a 4wd valance too wich will amp the low ground effect up front. gonna go look for a 4wd bed too to tuck the rears in better.

haha! i know i had seen one with em on at one point but its kinda rare.... are you running the same size and offset front and rear?? what are your stats on drop and tires?

when i got mine they rubbed the rears on latteral compression. goin in at an angle on a dip allowed articulation to stuff the tires in at the angle to clear.... so im thinking im gonna look for a 4WD bed (fenders flare out more) to clear em like the front.

i did a 2" belltech front spindle set and the BJ flip. rubs the inner plastic cover but thats cus my torsions are so sacked out they just soften up any time i turn em tighter. my rear sits on 3" blocks but i had to air the shocks up 1 1/2" to get em to stop rubbin.

dont do it justice in the dark so i took a few in the day after i washed it and lifted the rear up some....
