Importing Cars

I was not sure the exact opic to post this under but here it goes. I work this guy thats relly into import cars. I was talking about Skyline are going be available widespread through america, not really sure if thats true since 90% of what come outta his mouth is bullshit but my question is is ist possible for someone to buy a car in japan, and have it shipped over here and to drive around, this guy is trying to tell me it can only be done if it is sent in 4 pices, I know this is not true cause I have seen right hand drive rides from japan before in america. cany anyone clear this up for me.
