I recently purchased a bagged '97 Tacoma. I don't know much about the suspension and how it works but I really want to learn.

The rear end is bagged over the axle. There's 2 bars (one on each side) going from the axle to my frame. What are these bars for and what do they do? There's another set of bars running from each rear wheel to the frame, but I'm assuming those are for the non-existent leaf springs.

My next question is regarding the truck's battery. Where, on the truck, is a common place to relocate the battery? It's not under the hood and I havn't jacked the truck up and actually gotten underneath to have a real good look. It's not in the bed either.

I love the mini truckin' scene and have been a big fan of it for a long time. This is my first truck and even though it's been customized quite a bit, there's still things I want to do to it to make it uniquely mine. My last question is this. What do you think about people who buy their rides? Are they less of a mini trucker because they didn't learn how to weld? Are they inferior because they don't have a garage to work in? Does it even matter if they bought it or built it? I'd like to hear some input on this.

Thanks for at least taking the time to read this and thanks to anyone who answers my questions.
