how to work carbon fiber

i want to learn how to work with carbon fiber. if anybody that knows of good websites or books on the subject or has personal experience using it, your help would be appreciated. at this point i have absolutely no experience with this, so i need to know all the basics, including what materials and tools i need, where to get them, how much money will be involved, how much time between steps, etc. my goal is to be able to create some carbon fiber body parts for a mini-baja car that we are building at college.
