Dropped Front is Rubbin Fenders

i have a 99 3.9v6 club cab truck.. i used 2" control arms and 1" coil spirngs for the drop in the front of the truck. the tires i have are (i think) 255/45/18.

whenever i hit a bump in the road or even a little dip in the road, my tires are hitting the metal wheel wells of the truck, and in some cases, bending the crap out of the metal and chewing up the sides of the tires...

anyone else having this problem, or something like it ?

also.. a solution that someone told me to do was to put #" control arms on and the factory sprping back on for like a 1/2" lift. will this work, is this correct ?
