Valve garbage?

I took off a valve last night to replace a fitting going to it. However when i wired it back up it wouldn't work. I checked the ground and power wire and they are both secure. I even reconnected them just to be sure... When i hit the switch on my box to activate the valve my interior lights in my car dim as if it is drawing power but it's not doing anything... the valve in question is my passenger side front dump valve. the fill valve works and is wired to the same ground. also when i try to do all front down it wouldn't work as well.. just the inidivdual driver side. I have SMC 3/8 one way valves. Anything else i should check out before buying new valve??? any help is appreciated.
