Shifter

Has anyone on here polished there stock shifter? How did it turn out or am I better off buying another and getting it chromed? I just don't want mine black anymore, Plus I need to get the shifter bushings for it

Wire wheel off all of the rubber coating and try it. Can you polish steel? I don't know.

I don't know but I don't think mine is rubber I think it is painted I will have to check it out

I'm pretty sure its a rubber coating. Mine was like 1/8" thick. I took it all off when I shortened my stock shifter and rethreaded it to 3/4" fine. Then I painted it before glueing it back on.
