No I didn't know about the breakdown and damage. The owner we built it for sold it right after it was in TRUCKIN and it went to an owner near detroit...That's all I know...I haven't heard anything from the new owner. I did see it for sale in Goodguys gazette a while back.

John, I got one for ya. The owner had Trail Mix at the RA All-Star event labor day weekend and when they had us all in the stadium for Best Of, He stood near me but I did not speek to him, I didn't really know who he was. Well, He had Trail-Mix at a show this weekend at the Show world Grand Finale at Jefferson Barricks Park. I walked over and started a conversation with him. We were talking and there was a guy I did not know standing there with him. I started asking questions about the Trailblazer and he told me " well, the truck has been built twice" and went on telling me that with the first build the chassis and paint had issues and they re-did the whole thing. Come to find out the guy taking credit for building it owns a custom shop down the road from my house. I was like " Damn, I didn't know this thing was built right here in my home town" The owner let this guy stand there and take credit for the whole build. The guy is like " yea man, stop by the shop sometime we are usually there until 6:00 or 7:00. And I am thinking, I just might stop by and talk to this Dude. I do know he is known for his chassis building, he has built a couple Bonneville cars and the shop that put my exhaust on said he does some of the best work they have seen. I believe that you guy's built the truck and are having someone else take the credit for it. This type of shit makes me ill. It seems every show I go to you got some fuck stick spewing bull shit about some build they did or how they built their truck from the frame up and come to find out the stupid mother fucker bought it like that. I met another fuck nut at that same show this weekend telling me how he was with Dicovery Channel and he had worked with Monster Garage and how they were starting up a new pilot for them about guy's like me building their own shit and going through the build with video. Come to find out, Someone I knew, Knew him and said this guy is a fuckin' tard. He knows some guy's that are in volved with it but he isn't shit. Give credit where credit is due. Don't walk around shows with your lies trying to make yourself into something your not. Take that time your spending at shows speading your bull shit and go take a college course on Auto body or welding and fuckin'learn something! Let us know the true scoop John.

Here is the story boyz.......The owner wanted that truck done for G'ville '04 and started pressuring me to get it done 3 weeks from easter. This was not going to happen. I don't rush projects and put out crap no matter wat a customer is paying. I finished the bodywork, painted the truck then it went to TAYLOR'S HOUSE OF COLOR in Louisville. They were to put on the airbrushed chrome and somewhat follow the two-tone line the owner and I agreed on. They ended up putting the chrome trim way too high above the bodyline and the owner wanted me to repaint the truck for free to fix the problem. I DON'T WORK FOR FREE! He wouldn't take the truck back to TAYLOR'S to get redone. The days kept ticking away towards G'ville and the pressure was on. Two weeks before G'ville the interior and audio was still not done and this was MY FAULT? Well this was all I could take and I told him I was done working on his truck. I hope whoever he gets to finish it does a good job because I really liked that ride.

Read that.......That will let you know what happened. Another shop DID ....FINALLY do the truck. I believe they repainted it redid the rear setup, painted the engine and finished the underhood stuff. I WANT SOMEONE ELSE TO TAKE CREDIT FOR THIS RIDE......FOR GOD SAKES.....ANYONE BUT ME!

Well, I guess I CAN believe what this guy said. Whatever shop did what it is a killer ride. Good work by everyone involved.

Did this guy pay you anything? Not trying to be a dick here man but if the dude paid for a paintjob he didnt recieve then you should have made things right and make Taylor's fix it or whoever. Maybe i just misunderstood it but to me it sounds like he paid and you gave him whatever you could get. Again not hating, its just how i am comprehending your comment. Feel free to elaborate.

Yes he paid me...but I'm not about to REDO something because TAYLORS can't paint on some chrome trim in the right spot... He thinks taylors is some sort of godlike joint that can do no wrong. That was just the last straw for me. Anyway..Ron left my shop owing me almost $3,000. It was worth 3gs to watch him leave....

I know what you mean about the attitude. Met and spoke to him at a show this weekend. Said he builds nothing but cover vehicles with no exspence spared and Said he was pissed because Street Trucks didn't put it on the cover which was the agreement when they shot it.

He was never promised a cover. Ever. What he was told however is that his truck would be considered once we had a chance to go through the photos that Brandon Burrell shot. Burrell did an excellent job shooting Trail Mix but the decision was made to put an identifiable truck, a fullsize GMC, on the cover. After all, we're in the business of selling magazines and a body dropped fullsize GM brand will outsell a non-body dropped SUV every time.
