I was wondering has anyone ever had a torque converter go out? What did it do? What made it go out? How did the truck act after it went out? The reason im asking, is that i've got a 2800 stall TCI in my truck, and a freshly rebuilt TH-350, I don't think its the tranny but im not goin to rule it out just yet. I was warming my truck up the other day and i was holding it at about 2 grand when it started smoking out from under the hood, when i looked it was coming of the bellhousing, it was like the converter just got smokin hot. i had only had the truck running about 10 mins. so i didnt think it would of gotten that hot. But know when i put the truck in gear you have to rev it to like 3 1/2 grand and then it gradually starts taking out. i checked the fluid and it was just a tiny bit over, not much at all, and it still smells fresh-since the tranny has only about 300 miles on it- and didn't have a burnt smell. if you can help that would be awesome. oh ya the torque converter, was used on my old tranny which burnt up and the converter sat for about a year before i even took it out of the box and used it so it only has about 700 miles max on it-just street driven.

oh ya ive got the new pics of my truck up
