sound deadener

How much material (square feet) did most of you use when using sound deadening mats? I want to make sure I order enough to finish the job.

i used about 8 boxes(5sq ft ea) in my xcab. that did not include firewall or roof, that only did the floor, inside doors, back wall and xcab walls.

I used 1/2 a bundle of asphalt shingles, cut to fit, glued inside the doors, under my interior, and it didn't cost me anything! It's ok until it gets about 100 degrees in the summer and you leave the windows up. Then it smells like a roof!

you need a 50 ft roll

I had a 100 foot roll. It did my floor, back cab wall, firewall, roof skin, and inside my doors. I still have about 1/4 of it left.

Its kind of quiet. I need to plug the holes in the firewall, because I can hear the engine pretty well. Once I put the heater in it will be better. And carpet makes a huge difference. More than people think.

Use FatMat, half the cost of Dynamat,test better then!,100ft roll will do all. Gave Seth a roll ( had extra).
