questions on bagging

I have a 1974 chevy nova that i plan on bagging. I have already made up my mind that i am going to try it myself but what i want to know is if u guys that are more experienced than me can give me any advice to avoid stupid amateur mistakes. This will be that fist car i attempt to bag so i do appreciate any advice on tips and how i should go about doing this. thanks.
