It is cold as shit here today and when I was on my way to work this morning, I noticed that my truck was not putting out any heat. Well I just thought it was b/c of it being so cold and the draft I have in the truck. Well about that time, the heat gauge started going up. I was trying to get to a bud's house to leave the truck when it shut off. I turned the switch off and coasted to my bud's driveway. Right about the time I got it stopped, it backfired. I had steam coming out from the radiator cap. Could this be just the thermostat being stuck in the closed position or could it be a bigger problem? I checked the anti-freeze over the weekend and it was fine. Any suggestions on what it could be and if I have messed the truck up would be appreciated.
