me and my friend fish flipped all the balljoints and took out my old bolt in bag brackets. we jacked the whole truck up level (front to back, side to side) and the frnt crossmember is 11" from the ground, we jacked up the control arm until it maxed out and it was at 22 1/2" so i still needed at least 3/4" so i could lay on my tire thats 24" tall. since it was the balljoints binding that was keeping it from going to 23", we loosened the bolts to get the tension off. It easily raised it to 23 1/4" which is plenty. Im gonna build a 1/4" plate to do the same thing, it lets me lay plus it got ALOT of stress off the balljoints, and i think itll help the camber a little bit.. not much though. heres some pics:
