i'm doin a traditional BD on a 96. i've heard different measurements for the drop from 3.25 to 4.5. . .from measuring looks like mine is closer to 4 - 4.5. . .so how much did you guys do yours. also i have a cowl induction hood. . if it is 4.5 will there be enough clearance for the intake tube it seems to be the highest part of the engine. just wanted to ask those that have done it. i'm sure alot will have to do with the measurements but wanted to get an idea.

Bringing back an old post guys. . . i got the BD done at 4.5 i had to go a bit more due to the i beams were hitting the oil pan.. . I have a 2.5 cowl induction hood, and now the throttle body is hitting the cowl. . .i don't know what to do. . .it's a 3.0 engine. . i don't want to remodify the hood. . .i'm almost to the point of wanting to cut the whole F*()ing floor out and start completely over. . .what gives. . .anyone got any suggestions.

i dont understand why people do bodydrops without laying the frame first.

it was laying frame. . .i used 2x4 to level the frame which created a level "floor" for the cab to drop down onto. . .and the 2x4 were level before any cutting took place. . .

i guess people really shouldn't "Assume"
