flat black primer?

ok im ready 2 get some flat black primer for my pup. i was wondering wat kind 2 get and where? my freind told me 2 go 2 napa auto, and its like 40 bucks or so. is that a good primer and good price?? or wat else should i get ?? i also wanna do some flames from the front end to like the doors almost.
