Bumper Ticket

HAs anyone got pulled for no rear bumper?? I thought it was ok and seens how I have no bed and a 2x3 bar welded in my frame rails I thought I was ok that was until I got a 128 dollar ticket and 3 points for moving violation is it like that any where else?? No I dint fix the bumper f it

not in virginia but i've always heard Tennessee is killer on that.

Well thats gay!! Here in SC if you dont have a bed then you have to run some type of bumper or bar on the rear & its legal to run without a bumper if you do have bed as long as the tag is lit!! Hell...if it was me Id fight that bitch!!

I got several tickets for not having a rear bumper on the stock bed. They gave me shit about it being an aftermarket roll pan. I got proof from the local toyota dealership that it was in fact original and that on trucks rear bumpers are an option.

In Indiana they say that to legally have an aftermarket roll pan you have to box in the rear frame rails. Its for the dumbass that rearends you so that you don't hurt his vehicle anymore than needs be. Well I have the stock one and an aftermarket one. Lets see if they give me a ticket now.

Dude! You so need to contest that ticket....Not having a rear bumper in Florida is not a moving violation! You should not have gotten 3 points or any points for that matter. It would be considered a faulty equipment ticket. The violation has occurred before the truck was on the road...not while the truck was on the road. To get a moving violation you have to run a stop sign or something, not just for not having a rear bumper.

I'm tellin ya dude...CONTEST IT!!! Besides the pig probably wont even show up and it'll get thrown out. DO IT!!

ay rob contest it man,i did the ,cop didnt show but i went to court rdy man,he pulled me over for my roll pan,i told him that the frame was boxed in and that these trucks didnt come with them n he called me a liar,i took pics of my frame n shit i tried goin to the dealer but they couldnt back me up on it ,wat i do with alot of my tickets is wait till the 29th day,then get an extension,on the 29th of the extention i get another and then on the 29th of that i request to contest it,when its all sed n done i went to court about 4-5months after the incident,cop never showed,but either way i was gunna win lol

its fine in tn. as long as the frame rails are covered

I'm going to see what I can do my buddy Eric gets stopped all the time going to work and tells the cops that you can get a truck brand new from the dealership with a rollpan on it it's all BS everyone knows cops pick and chose(?) on who to pull over and what to right the ticket for I got stopped for a broken tail light and my sticker on my back glass that says it's mother fuckin drag time then he comes back with the bumper ticket
