so as u know my truck tends to sputter and crap put once i hit 3k+rpms..
well today i decided to get on it from a light to see if it would do it...
rev to 2k in 1st gear...and drop the clutch...grabs and i go...get to 3000rpms and i starts to sputter and jump around until i shift at 4500rpms.
so i push the clutch in, shift to 2nd, and release the clutch "dump it" and it stays on the floor...revs up 500rpms and than the clutch pedal pops up and it goes into 2nd gear and im off...gets to 3000rpms and its fine..hit 3600rpms and it surges/sputters again...shift to 3rd at 5000rpms and again..cluth pedal stays down and than it revs up another 500rpms to 5500rpms and the clutch pops up and im in 3rd gear finally.
do u think its all related?
the general consensus from everyone about the sputtering was fuel filter/pump or Vac. leak.
im guessing my clutch is toast...when i start it up and its a little cold..it will not go into 1st...it is like a POP and goes into 1st(no sound) than it will grind going into 2nd and a little grind goin into 3rd...with the clutch all the way to the floor shifting slowly and smoothly.
guess my bridge kit will have to wait 2 more weeks to replace the filter/pump and clutch..bah humbug
