Insurance

I know this has probably been asked several times. but i need to know and dont feel like searching....my truck is a 1980 dodge d50 and im about to really tear into with modifications (body drop, bags, top chop...several things) i will be doing all the work myself with the help of my friends....if i get full coverage insurance will they insure it for the value of the mods or not insure the mods at all since i will be doing them myself? i ask this because at almost 1000 an inch for body drops and the price shops get to install bags is rather high.....really all im asking is if my mods will be covered or not.....
