mine leaked and the frame rusted and then the vinyl came off the frame the top was an inch to short for the frame.. i bought another top and tols street beat to specifically make it one inch longer to fit in my frame.. they made it the same size as my old one.. ive installed them recently and the new ones are alot better.. i got mine maybe 3 years ago and it was a peice..

How did the frame rust? its aluminum and powdercoated. The very front of the top it self is steel and painted, but you said the frame, just clarifying

Im also debating on throwing a 40x80 in the blazer but plan on driving the shit out of it and dont want it to leak.

My buddy had one in a bronco and hated it. He said it was a p.o.s. and leaked ALL the time. He actually ended up re-skining his roof it leaked so bad

I have one in my mirage and love it no trouble with rain just dont spray water directly at the sides.

Does anyone know can they be adjusted mine does not close as tight as when I got the car.

81layndoor.... I believe you have a ragtop made by inalfa. That is if thats your car in the avatar... Its power right? I have the same one. To reset the resistance on the motor when closing, you need to press and hold the closed button. Hold it until it makes a noise. Open it and close it, see if its tighter. If its better than great, if its not... its not going to get any better. Mine makes some wind noise, but not nearly as much as the street beat one I had on my wagon.

anyone have any pictures of the latching system from inside possibly from when they were installing it?.... where does the hook go ...what does it hook to?i just picked up a truck with one and it doesnt have anything for the hook to grab. just trying to figure it out! thanks

i got a rag top in my truck i think its a s.b. i got it at a good deal used but the box was never opened. the hook ur talkin about i believe how it latchs just hooks into the rag top frame. as far as leakin i had to add some weather stripping between the top and the frame to stop leaks. every since that then i have had no problems other than lineing the hook up to latch it.

I have a 40x80 StreetBeat canvas rag top in my xB. No leaks, no problems. I had it at SummerShowdown this year when the Tropical Storm went through and not a drop inside.
