Has anyone shave their drip rails on a 85-88 MY truck, post some pics and a quick explantion I think I want to get mine done but dont know if I want to tackle the project myself or not

kinda wondering too....just fill it with bondo. lol. jk. im sure they used small pieces of sheet metal and tacked and grinded it smooth then filled in with some body filler to get the shape just right. that would be my best guess.

You're talking about filling them in? I would cut them off and weld the roof up.

On my Corolla ute we bent the drip rail over and plated it, otherwise the door rubbers have trouble sealing if you just cut it off. We also put a cap over the rear pillar.

I dont think you can cut them off and weld like on chevys cause the drip rail is even with the top of the door and like said it wouldn't seal right,

How did you do it, yo bent the lip that sticks up in towards the body qnd then welded in filler plates to smooth it out?

Yep, in that first pic you can see the plate that was welded up the A pillar.
