Hey all, I've got an old (about 5yrs old) Lincoln Electric "WeldPack 100", thats a 100amp 110volt fluxcored .35 wire feed model. I have it converted to argon and .25 size wire right now for bodywork, but I can have it back to fluxcore in 30min. Do you think this welder would be good for welding in suspension parts, specifically the 8" notch kit I plan to order for my 94 toyota pickup? If not, could I just weld it in how I like it, and have someone tig weld over my my welds? What about an old "cracker box" arc welder, like the ones welders haul around in the back of their trucks, would that be better, cause I could hire one of them to come and weld it up for me, after I tack it in place.
