suicide doors

does anyone have any pictures of how they installed their suicide doors? ive been thinking of doing it to my truck. im just a little curious as to how the hinges are welded and braced to the cab side. .

does anyone actually put effort into making their hinges anymore....or does everyone just buy the kits now a days. Im gonna make mine with oem hinges.

Yap, had hinges for months. Just need to put the cab back on to do it.

cool, thanks guys. that was perfect. i think im gonna be suiciding my doors here in the next couple months. i need to get it running first. im just gonna stick to one task at a time. lol. but the process doesnt seem to be too hard or complicated.

the only question i still have though (which maybe i missed it reading) is that when you cut the holes in the jamb for the hinge pocket, other than welding to the face of the pocket...is that all that you weld as far as the cab side of the hinge goes? like there isnt any internal bracing at all just whats on the doorwhen it flexes.

I'd brace the inside to the floor or back cab wall.
