Fellas I need some help... I have just recently aquired a 97 tacoma and want to lower it a bit for now. So I know about the leafs and blocks, but do tacomas not have torsion bars?? I was just looking at the post about the 02 australian tacoma and they said that they notched it flipped some leafs and turned down the torsion bars... Shouldn't mine have torsions or are they just able to be lowered w/ control arms and springs? Any help would be greatly valued.

Thanks

hmm...its either gonna have torsion bars or springs. im not 100% sure but i think the tacomas have coil springs in the front. i suppose you could cut the springs to lower it...at least thats the cheapest way to do it.

Yeah I can't seem to find any torsions under there, but I thought that they may be something that I didn't recognize, but I just didn't know... Then I saw that post about the 02 tacoma and torsions and now I'm confused...

96 and above have springs. Have to hack them and flip balljoints.
