I'm going to be putting my roll pan on this weekend. Looking at it and the way its designed it looks like the original section of the bed doesn't have to be removed. Like the roll pan lays over the top of the existing one.

Anyone ever put on the GK roll pan themselves?

i never have, but everyone that has one of them says they fit like a glove and are the best ones they have seen..

i have, but our trucks are different. i had to cut out the lower half of the "factory roll pan".

It fits really good over the original aside from the two little humps protruding from the lower portion. I'm assuming those humps had something to do with the bumper.

All I had to do was clean out the gobs of seam sealer and notch the cornes a bit and it fits tight aside from those humps.

I thought at one time somebody had a tut on installing the roll pans on a toyota. Only one I found was on Can Do's site but it was for a Taco.

I put a Grant rollpan on my 87 toyota and it looks badass. I did have to cut the bottom part of my bed out though. But its worth it

Well what I am doing is I'm going to cut a "T" in the bumper humps and try to flatten them out and see how it fits. If it fits well enough i'll weld up the "T" and put the new pan on.

I finished putting the roll pan on today, fits like a glove. I sliced into the bumper humps, pounded em down with the hammer and dolly. Then I welded and ground em smooth. I used a flapper disk to knock one edge down for better fitment. I took about an hour and a half to intstall.
