I'm not sure if this sort of thing is acceptable on here or not but I'd just like to get some opinions of others on two topics I think we as Americans seem to either be blind to, or are just ignoring.
The first is outsourcing. Now most of us know that if you call any credit card company or software help desk you get some people in India on the phone. I'm puzzled at the fact, that it was just released that India now has a 17 billion dollar a year income from providing outsourcing of IT products. Thats just computer related. That doesn't include everything else. If you live in california, the next time you are standing at a man hole look at it really close. Right there in big bold letters "Made In India". Even at a state level there is no justification to keep americans employed. Now normally I hear the ya, ya, ya comments. But seriously, my company just outsourced a whole line of products which shut down two divisions, one in Canada and on in the US to have the product be manufactured in Korea. How sad is that?

Next, illegal immigration. Now this one is a hot bed of issues, but I have to wonder if anyone else on here questions this or not. First, when you walk into Sears and both the verbal announcements first are said in spanish then english and all the signs in the stores have been changed to bi-lingual as well. Wouldn't one tend to question why? How come in Portland where there is a high amount of Japanese, sears doesn't announce things in Japanese. How come in China Town they don't have announcements in Chinese? Just english and spanish. How come when I go to Japan they don't do announcements in English? They teach all thier children English and Japanese, it's standard from second grade on. I'm all for America being the land of the free and this is a place of opportunity. However did you know that if you live in CA, NM, AZ that a portionn of your paycheck goes to pay for health care to those illegal immigrants. Here is where it gets worse. Say at one time you made a really good wage, you were able to buy a house. Due to outsourcing you were laid off and now have a job for $7.00 per hour. Your wife is pregnant and you go to apply for welfare. Did you know you will be denied because you own a home? Yep you surely will, trust me, I was there once. I recovered but I'm still bitter. It really irks me that when I look at my pay check I'm paying 3% to go into a General Health Care fund for the state to pay for these peoples care. Then on top of that I have to fork out another $60.00 to pay for my own families health care plus a co-pay and 20% upto 1000.00 per year. How ever if I came in undocumented, I can get a drivers license in CA, car insurance, and now legally buy a house. Better yet if I mow lawns,I won't have to claim any taxes and I could get free health care. Where is the justice in that?

Am I just wrong in my thinking?
