Sorry its kinda long but heres the deal... I traded my blazer for my truck in October 2002. The truck had 44347 miles and was in pretty good condition. As i started doing work i started noticing little things like 1 new headlight and the other kinda foggy, the PS front fender was shimmed up, a missing bed support, the hood didnt line up perfectly, and it wasnt factory paint... so i know the truck has been wrecked and rebuilt. I ran a Carfax report on it a while back and it said that my truck was a work truck, was hit minorly in the right front and had over 100,000 miles (i cant remember exactly) which threw up a red flag and the dealer said nothing about any of this. I figured oh well, mabey its a mistake and plus its got all new suspension now and the frame's not bent so its not worth the trouble. Today i took apart my gauge cluster to take out the ABS light since its gone now and CAROLINA is written on the back of the cluster along with BB 1793 SV in yellow sharpy. Im thinking that the low mileage cluster came from Carolina Salvage (local junkyard) Can someone who has access PLEASE run another carfax report on my truck? The serial # is 1GCCS14XXW8159655 and its a 1998 S10 standard cab V6. I dont like thinking that i got screwed over by a used car salesman and if i bought a truck thinking it had 44,000 when it had well over 100,000 miles i hope i can get reimbursed for the difference. BTW the salesman signed that the mileage was correct and the federal law says he could be fined or imprisoned for lying. If there are any lawyers or car salesmen that can help me out or tell me where to go with this id GREATLY appreciate it. Thanks and sorry for the book
